The Merry Sales Company is a wholesale distributor of bicycle components and accessories located in the San Francisco Bay Area. We stock the best products from a number of popular and more niche brands of bicycle products. We serve independent bicycle shops nationwide. We can ship internationally as well.
We are the primary distributor for Soma Fabrications, New Albion Cycles, Crane Bells, Yokozuna USA, Hebie, Newbaum's and IRD(Interloc Racing Design) in the United States.
We are one of the oldest bicycles parts and accessory wholesalers in the U.S.A.
The company got its name from its original owner Edwin F. Merry. He opened his business in San Francisco right after the Great Earthquake of 1906. Back then we were selling automobile parts and motorcycle parts as well. In 1936 the Merry Co. merged with the Bean Son Co, another bicycle wholesaler to form the Merry-Bean Company.
The onset of WWII caused a drastic slowdown of bicycle production. In 1942 the corporation was dissolved. Paul Porter, the company’s manager (and who started out with the company as bike messenger/delivery person) became the sole owner of the bicycle parts division. He renamed it The Merry Sales Co.
